Key Responsibilities

•Lead development and execution of sustainable finance product strategy and a multi-year roadmap for Commercial Banking offerings (green loans, SLLs, transition finance facilities, ESG-linked credit products).
•Own ESG product governance and post-approval monitoring to ensure compliance with global standards across the portfolio.
•Manage end-to-end product lifecycle (ideation, business case, design, approvals, launch, performance monitoring, periodic review, enhancement or orderly wind-down).
•Design and maintain the financial emissions (FE) framework, including FE reporting, monitoring FE cap exposure, and executing governance forums for portfolio reviews and deal prioritization/limit reallocation.
•Lead and develop a team of sustainable finance product managers/specialists, setting objectives, managing performance, supporting career development, and contributing as primary SME/key contact within CCM and governance forums.

Key Requirements

•University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related; postgraduate (Master’s/MBA) or certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, CFA ESG Investing, GARP SCR) are advantageous.
•8–10+ years in banking/financial services with at least 5 years in product management or sustainable finance/ESG product development (or corporate/commercial banking lending); proven people management/team leadership is essential.
•Track record developing, launching, and managing sustainable finance or ESG-linked credit products in commercial/corporate banking.
•Strong understanding of the Hong Kong/regional sustainable finance regulatory environment, including HKMA expectations on green/sustainable banking, climate risk, financed emissions, and portfolio alignment.
•Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills; strong analytical mindset to interpret emissions/portfolio analytics and translate requirements into practical solutions.
