Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct quarterly premium and loss reserve analyses and recommend inputs to quarterly financial results, including IFRS 17 discount and risk adjustment components.
  • •Prepare materials for quarterly reserve governance committee and support reserve governance processes.
  • •Ensure loss reserves and IFRS 17 components are appropriately reflected in the financial close.
  • •Perform loss ratio planning and forecasting, including IFRS 17 elements.
  • •Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Pricing to identify trends, align on forward-looking loss ratios, and communicate reserve recommendations and financial impacts to management.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 59,900 - 142,700 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams (Actuarial Analyst) or 3+ years actuarial experience with 3+ exams / 5+ exams with 2+ years for Senior Actuarial Analyst (applicable to FCAS or equivalent international certification).
  • •Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice (including Associate Degree) or a Bachelor’s degree (with 3.0 cumulative GPA for Actuarial Analyst; degree requirements vary by level).
  • •2+ years technical/insurance experience for Actuarial Analyst (as part of the Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice pathway).
  • •Ability to analyze reserving and loss ratio data and provide insights to non-technical professionals.
  • •Experience with Microsoft Office and/or knowledge of statistical analysis software; strong written and verbal communication skills.
