Key Responsibilities

•Lead engineering across product, platform, and applied AI, owning the roadmap and business outcomes the org is on the hook for.
•Set technical direction across the organization, drive architecture decisions, and maintain a high bar for what ships.
•Shape engineering culture, including how we ship, write code, hire, and deploy agents, with norms that endure beyond a single project.
•Ship fast and bias toward production, pulling research, prototypes, and experiments into reality on short timeframes.
•Build the operating model for an engineering org where humans and AI agents work side by side, and translate executive decisions into engineering work.

Key Requirements

•15+ years of engineering experience with at least 6+ years of people management experience in a pre-IPO startup, scale-up or frontier tech company, and at least 2 years of managing managers.
•Experience running an engineering organization of 30+ with managers and senior engineers reporting in, and ability to speak concretely about structure, hiring at scale, and improvements.
•Hands-on at the Tech Lead level: able to pick up unfamiliar codebases, design and ship meaningful changes, run incidents, and review code at a high bar.
•Thoughtful about humans and AI agents on the same team, with opinions on delegation and productivity when the unit of work blends humans and AI.
•Comfortable navigating ambiguity, writing documentation to align multiple teams, and maintaining a strong technical credibility across at least one area (full-stack, platform/dev experience, or applied AI).
