Job Summary

Embedded software engineer in a hybrid, Ditzingen-based role developing the control and application layer for sensor demonstrators. You’ll design interfaces, manage modes and resources, enable observability and testability, and collaborate in a small interdisciplinary prototyping team on radar, optronic vision, and data-intensive sensor systems with hands-on hardware iteration.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop the brain around the processing chain: control and application layer for turning hardware and processing components into a coherent sensor demonstrator
•Design clean interfaces and implement mode, resource and configuration management
•Ensure the system is operable, observable and testable, including scheduling and health monitoring
•Handle data recording and provide the operator-facing API
•Collaborate in a small interdisciplinary prototyping team to iterate quickly and learn from hardware

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Completed technical studies in computer science or electrical engineering
•Strong modern C++ on Linux with multithreading, IPC and network programming
•Solid software architecture and design skills (component design, clean interfaces, design patterns)
•Experience with automated testing and CI/CD toolchains (e.g. GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)
•Good Python scripting skills
