Lead technical discovery for Cloudflare’s cloud-developer, digital-native startups—translating customer goals into tailored solution designs and adoption roadmaps. Partner with sales from the first discovery calls through embedded Slack-based working sessions, delivering demos, architecture discussions, and proof-of-concept builds. Deepen expertise across the Cloudflare Developer Platform (Workers, Durable Objects, Workers AI, R2, D1, Queues, Pages, and more) and evangelize best practices to developers and CTO-level stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical discovery within the cloud-developer vertical by uncovering how customers build, what they are trying to ship, and where Cloudflare fits.
•Engage early and often with sales-led discovery calls and stay embedded with customer teams (including Slack channels and working sessions) throughout the cycle.
•Map customer initiatives and business problems—especially new product development and AI initiatives—onto the Cloudflare platform.
•Deliver tailored technical content and demos, run proof-of-concept builds, and evangelize the Cloudflare Developer Platform for customers to build on.
•Build technical champion relationships across customer stakeholders and represent Cloudflare externally at developer and industry events with thought leadership.

Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

•Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or other customer-facing technical role, ideally selling to or working with developer-led, cloud-native, or startup organizations.
•Ability to speak engineers’ language credibly (architecture, APIs, platform design) without it being a hands-on, code-every-day developer role.
•Strong technical discovery instincts to draw out requirements, qualify fit early, and separate real needs from noise.
•Comfort operating in a fast-moving agile environment, joining early calls and qualifying deals from the start.
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant work experience.
