Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise and develop aligned handlers and/or assistants, encouraging and mentoring delivery of technical excellence.
  • •Drive technical excellence and financial authority audits, ensuring files are handled in a commercial manner.
  • •Devise strategies within the sub-team and deliver outcomes on fixed fee files, embedding Know Your Opponent practices.
  • •Carry a caseload of complex public sector claims (including EL/PL, civil penalty appeals, data protection, equality act, and human rights issues).
  • •Support and participate in client audits and internal technical meetings; provide bespoke training for the sub-team.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified Solicitor or CILEX.
  • •Essential experience handling EL/PL caseloads up to £100k and strong litigation experience.
  • •Essential experience supervising handlers and/or assistants.
  • •Experience in public sector work, including delegated authority matters and related claim types.
  • •Financial Authority of at least £25k and good advocacy skills.
