Job Summary

Support thermoformed product launches across multiple business segments, managing new product introductions from idea/prototype through production tool commercialization. Lead stage-gated tool and process development, including design reviews, parameter optimization, DOE experiments, trials, vendor selection, and acceptance sign-off. Collaborate with account managers, marketing, product management, production, quality, and co-manufacturing sites to ensure manufacturability and that parts meet customer specifications while handling competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct design reviews to translate customer needs into CTQs and improve part manufacturability.
•Lead new commercial tool introductions end-to-end through a stage gate process and on-time schedules.
•Lead thermoforming process development via parameter optimization, DOE experiments, and trials to establish robust, repeatable processes.
•Select tooling vendors and provide sign-off for acceptance of tooling.
•Work with production and quality for tool debugging, process validation, and defining optimal forming/trimming windows and processing specifications.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Preferred: a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
•Preferred: thermoforming, part design and/or mold-making experience.
•5+ years of industry experience in plastics manufacturing & processing (extrusion, thermoforming, and tooling).
•Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
•Experience leading capital projects in a manufacturing environment with OEMs and suppliers.
