Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle safely and legally, following traffic laws and safety regulations on required routes.
  • •Transport and deliver loads, including maneuvering truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading and moving goods/materials using specialized equipment when needed.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and deliver paperwork to the appropriate staff after each route.
  • •Perform routine truck service checks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) (or appropriate chauffeur’s license depending on state) for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing per federal and/or state DOT regulations, and complete a DOT physical for trucks over 10,000 lbs.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Able to sit for long periods in a trailer cab and lift/move up to 40 pounds.
  • •Maintain professionalism and strong interpersonal/customer service skills with customers and staff at delivery points.
