Job Summary

Lead global sourcing category management for BLACK+DECKER Home Product and Vacuum/Dust Extractors finished goods, managing about $40M spend. Key Responsibilities

•Develop and execute global sourcing strategies across a ~$40M global spend portfolio to improve service, quality, and total cost of ownership.
•Negotiate, implement, and manage supplier contracts and service level agreements, including supplier relationship management and YOY productivity.
•Conduct strategic global supplier account reviews to set annual performance metrics and corrective action plans.
•Identify and communicate risks and coordinate mitigation plans while maintaining knowledge of worldwide market trends.
•Prepare and evaluate RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, institute world-class sourcing techniques, and direct supplier development activities using project management and lean improvement methods.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area; electrical/electronic or manufacturing engineering preferred.
•5+ years of experience in global strategic sourcing or procurement, including supplier selection and contract negotiations.
•Knowledge of manufacturing processes, costs, and materials, and experience managing finished goods categories.
•Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to drive cost and margin enhancement (value improvement) and YOY productivity.
•Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to manage complexity in a highly matrixed environment.
