Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect blood samples from pedigree birds to monitor bird health and diseases.
  • •Clean and sanitize sampling and blood testing instruments.
  • •Perform simple math to record information according to sampling instructions for pedigree chickens.
  • •Support additional farm duties such as moving birds, cleaning and disinfecting equipment/vehicles, and helping with laundry staff as needed.
  • •Follow biosecurity and animal welfare requirements for the biosecure jobsite, including required PPE and restricted jewelry/piercings.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (18 months if laid off or providing child/elder care).
