Own Merchant Onboarding product strategy for a payments platform, evolving capabilities for merchant identification, MCC detection, and validation workflows to enable a seamless Day 0 and First Transaction experience. Manage the product backlog and engineering sprint execution, aligning Sales, Marketing, Operations, Data, and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

•Evolve Merchant Onboarding capabilities for merchant identification, MCC detection, and authorised representatives validation workflows with efficiency, reliability, and security.
•Lead regulatory monitoring for merchant acquiring, ensuring compliance while using new regulations as a competitive advantage.
•Develop seamless Merchant Day 0 journeys by partnering with core Payment and UI/UX teams to improve First Transaction experience.
•Leverage AI integrations and tools to automate onboarding workflows and reduce onboarding time.
•Own and manage the product backlog, prioritize product stories, and guide execution in engineering sprints with clear articulation of trade-offs and impacts across upstream/downstream systems.

Key Requirements

•6+ years of product management experience, typically with a B. Tech and MBA (or equivalent).
•Direct experience with payment technologies or a deep understanding of payment systems and APIs.
•Proven track record working closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable, technology-first products.
•Exceptional influencing skills to persuade cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Legal, Engineering) without direct authority.
•Strong analytical skills using structured and unstructured data to define metrics, validate hypotheses, and inform decisions.
