Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow safe operating practices and procedures while performing repairs and inspections.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and operate/maintain the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections, plus follow-up repairs for trailers and related equipment in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Respond to call center-dispatched unscheduled service and maintenance requests and manage concurrent tasks and daily schedule.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair trailer systems (e.g., brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps/engines, liftgates, brake chambers), document findings on Repair Orders, and upload pictures using the company app/device.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as certification/degree plus 3 years, or 7 years experience).
  • •Obtain and supply necessary hand tools to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months and ASE 608/609 within 18 months.
  • •Hold a current valid DOT medical card with sufficient time remaining or be able to complete a DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Be at least 21 years old, maintain a valid driver’s license, complete required MVR review, and be eligible to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File (DQF).
