Job Summary

Ensure proper mechanical operation of plant equipment and machinery on the production floor by troubleshooting electrical and electronic malfunctions. Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, make adjustments to machinery, install wiring and conduit, calibrate equipment to manufacturer specifications, and read blueprints and wiring diagrams. Diagnose and test faulty equipment, complete maintenance reports, optimize equipment uptime, and support reliable, efficient plant operations while maintaining safe working conditions.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in the production area.
•Make repairs and adjustments to machinery, dismantling as needed to repair or replace defective components.
•Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed or repaired machines and equipment.
•Diagnose and test malfunctioning machinery, replacing or repairing faulty electrical and mechanical components.
•Prepare maintenance reports and maintain production equipment to optimize equipment uptime, including scheduled preventative maintenance.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/equivalent or completion of technical school (or equivalent training, experience, and education).
•At least 2 years of industrial experience in electrical or mechanical support functions.
•Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, especially for electrical and mechanical operations and components.
•Able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
•Full knowledge of three-phase 480-volt equipment and working knowledge of three-phase motors, programmable controls, circuits, computer interfaces, and the National Electrical Code.
