Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and optimize the airline’s navigation systems, flight planning provision, and aeronautical information to support safe, efficient, regulatory-compliant flight operations.
  • •Oversee performance, accuracy, and integrity of the flight planning system, navigation databases, and charting provision, ensuring timely updates for compliance.
  • •Administer seasonal and ad hoc overflight permits and manage airports, including risk assessments, monitoring, and analysis for operational suitability.
  • •Lead resolution of charting and navigation database anomalies, coordinating timely communication with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • •Lead, mentor, and develop a navigation and flight planning team, establishing priorities and evaluating operational technical plans, policies, and procedures while driving continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree (3+ years) in an aviation-related field (aviation degree preferred).
  • •Significant experience in a Flight Dispatch or Navigation Services role, including flight planning systems and aeronautical charting products.
  • •Expert knowledge of aviation operations, AIM, and navigation data coding (ARINC 424).
  • •Extensive experience managing navigation databases, operational integration, and navigation providers/tools (preferably Lido, CAE FPM, Comply 365, and Bytron Skybook).
  • •Experience leading a team of aviation technical experts, including stakeholder and vendor management in an aviation environment.
