Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using test instruments; road test vehicles to verify issues and repairs.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and maintain/operate the company-issued service vehicle and tools, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work according to company standards on Repair Orders (RO) by uploading pictures and findings via a company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination, including additional degree/certification or 5 years experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a DOT medical card with more than four months remaining).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid driver’s license/state-of-residence driver’s license while maintaining a Driver Qualification File.
