Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as an intermediate electrical engineer on projects, working under a senior engineer on primarily Canadian and US projects.
  • •Work with Electrical and I&C engineers and designers and interface with other disciplines, project management, clients, and vendors.
  • •Review and develop Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EIC) designs for detailed engineering phases.
  • •Develop and review deliverables such as schematic and wiring diagrams, single line diagrams, cable tray, lighting, equipment layouts, heat tracing, electrical lists, power quality and protection studies, and calculations.
  • •Prepare equipment procurement packages, support construction contracts and scope of work, attend site visits, and provide progress reporting; also authenticate deliverables via P.Eng stamping.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 97,000 - 120,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Electrical Engineering (BSc) degree.
  • •Be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in British Columbia or able to transfer Canadian P.Eng from another province.
  • •Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood (now or in the future).
  • •Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience supporting consulting projects for mining, metallurgical, or similar process industries.
  • •Knowledge of CSA and IEEE standards, including the Canadian Electrical Code, and ability to apply them to designs.
