Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and evolve backend services and application programming interfaces in Go, including REST integrations and synchronous/asynchronous workflows.
  • •Own end-to-end delivery: understand problems, design solutions, develop, test, deploy, and monitor in production.
  • •Build event-driven distributed architectures using queues, continuous data streaming, and asynchronous processing with idempotency, resiliency, scalability, and performance in mind.
  • •Work with data storage and integrations using MySQL, BigQuery, KVS, Redis, object storage, and non-relational databases, ensuring consistency and traceability.
  • •Ensure quality, security, and reliability through testing, code reviews, continuous delivery, observability, authentication/authorization, and data protection; collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data, and Finance/Compliance and use generative AI responsibly for development and investigation.

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on experience with Go for backend services and HTTP/REST application programming interfaces.
  • •Knowledge of synchronous/asynchronous communication, messaging queues, retry strategies, idempotency, and distributed processing.
  • •Strong fundamentals in SQL and relational databases, with the ability to implement unit and integration tests.
  • •Experience using Git, code review processes, and CI/CD pipelines to write readable, maintainable, testable, and observable code.
  • •Solid security foundations for APIs, observability, and engineering principles such as SOLID.
