Key Responsibilities

  • •May lead small-scale mechanical engineering projects and take on project management responsibilities for one to two features.
  • •Collaborate with stakeholders to support assembly, fabrication, and manufacturing, including conducting FMEA.
  • •Perform stack-up tolerance analyses to meet Six Sigma quality goals for high-volume production.
  • •Assist with test plans and mechanical design testing, failure analysis, reliability, environmental testing, and verification activities.
  • •Perform thermal simulation/analysis, verify design quality, resolve issues, and help optimize thermal solutions with thermal engineers before prototypes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors plus 8–10 years, or Masters plus 6–8 years, or PhD plus 4–6 years of related experience.
  • •Hands-on thermal design and validation for electro-mechanical equipment deployed in controlled (central office) and uncontrolled (outdoor) environments.
  • •Expertise in thermal boundaries and optimized cooling solutions to maximize equipment performance within power constraints.
  • •Experience designing and verifying heatsink technologies (heat pipes, chill/cold plates, 2D/3D vapor chambers) for air- and liquid-based cooling.
  • •Strong simulation capability and modeling of complex thermal environments, plus ability to plan comprehensive test plans with minimal iterations.
