Key Responsibilities

  • •Enhance the Ceph-based cloud storage system for stability, scalability, functionality, performance, and cost.
  • •Design and architect improvements for Ceph-based cloud storage and develop automation frameworks for storage infrastructure.
  • •Optimize metrics collection and alerting, including logging, monitoring, and time-series instrumentation.
  • •Monitor storage infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability, and support capacity expansion and maintenance windows with network/operations teams.
  • •Evaluate new technologies and operational methodologies, research and develop new Ceph features, and maintain internal documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of experience configuring, deploying, and managing distributed systems.
  • •Fluency in Linux (CentOS/RHEL/Debian/Ubuntu) and comfort operating in server-class environments.
  • •Hands-on experience with distributed software-defined scale-out storage (e.g., Ceph) and cloud storage concepts (object/block).
  • •Strong automation and scripting experience (Python/Bash/PHP/etc.) with automation tools such as Puppet/Ansible/Chef/Salt.
  • •Experience with performance tuning in virtualized environments and knowledge of server hardware (IPMI and storage drives like SATA/NVMe).
