Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide timely technical assistance to assigned customers regarding packaging equipment operations and enable quality/packaging performance improvements.
  • •Service customer equipment and maintain optimum performance of equipment and packaging film/shrink bag materials.
  • •Perform and complete package/shrink bag and machine audits; identify equipment/film/shrink bag problems and ensure appropriate communication to staff representatives.
  • •Participate in field trials of new packaging materials and support installation and start-up of packaging equipment sold by Amcor (and from outside suppliers).
  • •Train customers on equipment operation and Amcor film, and train other technical service representatives on customer training.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Packaging or an engineering field related to packaging (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical).
  • •5 years of progressively responsible engineering or technical service experience in the food packaging industry.
  • •5 years of experience servicing packaging equipment, including experience with several listed machinery types (e.g., liquid/VFFS, HFFS, rotary packaging, labeling, shrink packers, sachet machines, bakery equipment, vacuum packaging).
  • •5 years of solving technical issues with film and bag production using technologies such as blown film, bag making, pouch making, and winding/rewinding.
  • •5 years applying film construction/formulation knowledge (e.g., monolayer vs coextrusion vs laminate; extrusion lamination vs solvent/adhesive lamination; PE, polyester, nylon, PS) and partnering cross-functionally to resolve material and performance issues.
