Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform body and refinishing repairs on internal vehicles, including color sanding, polishing, and minor detailing.
  • •Demonstrate knowledge of de-trimming vehicles (R&I fascias, door handles), with proper labeling and part organization.
  • •Validate new and existing paint codes, variance formulas, and new refinishing tooling (e.g., paint guns, dustless sanding, polishing systems).
  • •Help 3rd-party body shops troubleshoot paint issues in person or remotely (email/Zoom).
  • •Maintain PPE, paint supplies, and EHS standards for flammable/hazardous materials, and support training/technical publications.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years refinishing and 2+ years body or R&R experience (high-end vehicle experience advantageous).
  • •Certified in one or all mainstream paint lines (e.g., PPG, AXALTA, Glasurit).
  • •Knowledge of PPE required for tasks and ability to identify PPE accurately.
  • •Able to identify required vehicle data (VIN, paint code, trim code) for refinishing and distinguish between 2-, 3-, and 4-stage processes.
  • •Competent with color theory and paint equipment selection for specific materials (e.g., nozzle sizes for spray guns).
