Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop the Japan blueprint for the Strategic Pursuit Program and help build a strategic engagement team across theatres.
  • •Create and grow the APJC community of key roles to learn and replicate winning deal strategies in Japan.
  • •Lead the full strategic pursuit lifecycle, from origination and qualification through closing and contracting.
  • •Engage early with C-level clients and decision-makers to build relationships and position solutions aligned to client needs and competitive landscapes.
  • •Orchestrate cross-functional pursuit teams (sales, pre-sales, solution architects, customer experience, legal, and delivery) to ensure alignment and drive proposal development and pipeline progression.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven consultative sales ability to influence stakeholders, manage complex sales cycles, and negotiate with senior finance, procurement, and legal leaders.
  • •Strong cross-functional collaboration across account teams, renewal managers, partner organizations, and regional leadership.
  • •Partner enablement mindset, supporting a shift from transactional to strategic software selling motions.
  • •Highly process-driven, with structured opportunity management and qualification discipline before progressing deals.
  • •Fluency in Japanese and business-level English (reading/writing) to work effectively with Japanese customers, partners, and global teams.
