Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
  • •Assist with establishing spending plans for extended absences and develop informational financial materials for clients.
  • •Coordinate and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops and respond to requests for age-appropriate seminars.
  • •Use virtual counseling/electronic communication methods (secure online chat or video teleconference) when authorized.
  • •Communicate with leadership, participate in individual/group supervision, and support training, quality improvement, and other assigned contract activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required (or associate degree plus 4 years’ experience, or high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience in lieu of a bachelor’s).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the organizational conflicts of interest (OCI) process.
  • •Hold one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
