Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership, shaping technical strategy and ensuring operations meet safety, quality, and statutory compliance standards.
  • •Oversee compliance with legislation, MOD standards, and industry best practice, including governance, audit, and assurance processes.
  • •Lead technical reviews for designs, major refurbishments, and new infrastructure before handover, ensuring assets are documented and maintained.
  • •Manage centrally delivered technical programmes, safety alerts, engineering instructions, and technical bulletins to identify and manage risks.
  • •Lead and develop a team of Authorised Persons, write technical policies/procedures/standards, and manage compliance reporting and external audits.

Key Requirements

  • •Experienced technical compliance or engineering leader with a strong background in managing compliance, assurance, or engineering governance in a complex operational environment.
  • •Qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering (Level 3 minimum).
  • •Excellent understanding of statutory compliance for building engineering systems, infrastructure, and health and safety legislation.
  • •Confidently lead technical teams and influence senior stakeholders, presenting complex compliance information clearly.
  • •Experience managing audit programmes, governance frameworks, risk registers, and continuous improvement initiatives.
