Key Responsibilities

•Provide armed protective security at TVA facilities, including access control operations and compliance with TVA Personnel Security policies, procedures, and requirements.
•Conduct visitor processing and screening using X-ray machines, walk-through metal detectors (WTMD), and hand-held metal detectors (HHMD).
•Perform vehicular and foot security patrols, traffic control, alarm monitoring and response, and ensure receipt, accountability, and safeguarding of keys.
•Monitor compliance and oversee conduct, report safety issues/hazardous conditions/incidents, and complete required reports and records (including testimony when required).
•Respond to injury or illness and manage emergency situations, including first aid/CPR/resuscitation until emergency personnel arrive, while maintaining physical readiness for long shifts and emergency actions.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Meet at least one qualification: 3+ years of security experience in the past 5 years, 3+ years of military/National Guard service, an associate degree or higher in a security/law enforcement field, or completion of a police officer basic training academy (or equivalent approved experience/education).
•Fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in English.
•Pass background screening, psychological evaluation, drug testing, and required initial training prior to assignment.
•Meet all Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) suitability criteria prior to assignment and maintain documentation of compliance with TVA Personnel Security requirements and USCIS regulations.
•Physical capability to perform job functions including sustained alertness and use of security equipment and firearms as required.
