Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate water treatment equipment in accordance with station operating license, technical specifications, and operating procedures.
  • •Collect, prepare, and analyze samples of gases, water, oil, and waste systems as assigned.
  • •Perform instrument calibration and quality control checks and maintain routine operation/analysis logs.
  • •Conduct radiological surveys in support of chemistry and radiochemistry sampling and analyses.
  • •Follow ALARA and prescribed safety rules, initiate clear work requests for maintenance/repairs, and report abnormal conditions.

Key Requirements

  • •Two (2) years’ experience in chemistry, or the equivalent.
  • •High school graduate with completed courses in physics, chemistry, and algebra, plus prescribed courses in general, qualitative, and quantitative chemistry (or equivalents).
  • •Demonstrate ability to operate laboratory equipment.
  • •Familiarity with laboratory equipment principles and quantitative/qualitative analyses procedures.
  • •Physically well-coordinated to perform laboratory test procedures and able to complete required training courses.
