Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, implement, and tailor System Safety program plans aligned with MIL-STD-882E for Anduril products and customers
  • •Conduct and review complex safety analyses (FHA, Fault Tree, SCFTA, FMECA, System Safety Assessments) at system/sub-system levels
  • •Develop safety requirements and collaborate with design teams to implement safety solutions across multi-system architectures
  • •Identify and document hazards/risks; manage hazard tracking databases and ensure proper risk mitigation
  • •Support the Design Requirements Process as a Subject Matter Expert to ensure teams adhere to Safety best practices

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of industry experience as a System Safety Engineer or equivalent
  • •B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
  • •Experience with safety-critical hardware and software systems in the defense or aerospace industry (preferred: Weapon Systems, Aircraft, UAS, Maritime, Space, Rotorcraft)
  • •Extensive knowledge of MIL-STD-882E and other relevant safety standards
  • •Experience setting up a System Safety Engineering framework for a product/program (Design for Safety, Hazard Analysis)
