Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate equipment safely and efficiently within designed parameters.
  • •Locate utilities and buried lines prior to digging and shovel earth to prepare trenches for pipes.
  • •Guide pipes into place and attach pipes and trench boxes using chains/guide wires.
  • •Cut and connect pipes using tools, lubricants, glue/grout, and build couplings/connectors/mechanical joints.
  • •Maintain job-site safety by setting up barricades and cones, perform cleanup, and keep machines cleaned and maintained.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • •1 year of experience working on excavation sites and experience laying water, sewer, and storm drain preferred.

  • •Knowledge of inventory and order processing systems and use job-specific computer systems for ticketing and two-way radio communications.
  • •Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
