Job Summary

Senior Manufacturing Engineer needed to lead and mentor junior engineers on the manufacturing team, drive root-cause analyses, implement process improvements, and ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets across Fairfield production operations. You will optimize tooling, equipment, and plant layout, manage high-value improvement projects, and collaborate with mechanical and manufacturing teams to improve manufacturability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and provide technical guidance to junior engineers on the manufacturing engineering team to support Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics.
•Troubleshoot and resolve production problems with processes, tooling/fixtures, or equipment currently in operation.
•Drive Root Cause Corrective Actions and implement process improvements to prevent reoccurrence of Safety or Quality issues.
•Support Quality Control plans and Safety compliance actions, and propose sequences of operations and installations for fabrication of tools and equipment.
•Participate in development of manufacturing processes for new product integration and design/layout optimization of machines within plant facilities.

Key Requirements

•University degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience OR advanced degree with minimum 3 years of experience
•U.S. citizenship or permanent residence
•Experience leading manufacturing engineering activities focused on safety, quality, delivery and cost metrics
•Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot processes, tooling/fixtures, or equipment in operation
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and good interpersonal/presentation skills
