Job Summary

Work with banks and tech partners to integrate Wise’s international finance products through the public API. Provide technical consulting and product guidance post-sale and during implementation, define technical requirements, and support novel partner feature scoping. Collaborate with product, engineering, and implementation teams, design and develop API-exposed features, scale platform capabilities into new regions, and troubleshoot complex integration issues while improving documentation and references.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical consulting and product guidance to banks and other partners integrating Wise, primarily post-sale.
•Assist partners in the implementation phase by defining technical solutions, documenting requirements, and ensuring strong integration under their constraints.
•Support business development by aiding larger partners with novel features, including technical scoping and feature design.
•Design and develop new features for Wise services and expose them on the public API when needed, while helping scale the platform into new regions.
•Troubleshoot, test, and resolve complex technical issues and improve the integration experience through documentation, APIs, SDKs, code samples, and reference implementations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 180,000 - 230,000 annually

Key Requirements

•6+ years in customer-facing engineering roles in financial services or a similar domain (e.g., solutions engineer, integration engineer, IT consultant).
•Familiarity with design patterns and architectural principles including domain-driven design (DDD), event-driven architecture (EDA), and microservices architecture.
•Experience with Java (Spring), Kubernetes, AWS, and service mesh architectures, plus RESTful APIs, API design, Swagger/OpenAPI, and OAuth2.
•Working experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
•Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
