Launch high altitude weather balloons to collect atmospheric data for improved weather forecasting. Follow prescribed processes, communicate clearly and quickly, and operate hands-on technical equipment in outdoor conditions as part of a dedicated Atlas Operations team in Okinawa. This daytime role is on-site, five days per week, starting ASAP with a contract through July 31 and potential for permanent transition.

Key Responsibilities

•Follow prescribed processes to prepare and launch weather balloons
•Communicate launch status and anomalies quickly and clearly to the team
•Operate and troubleshoot on-site equipment; maintain safety and quality standards
•Assist with handling compressed gas cylinders when applicable
•Collaborate with team outdoors to support atmospheric science objectives

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 25 hourly

•Fast and detailed communications skills
•Hands-on technical competency and comfortable working with computers
•Experience working with compressed gas cylinders is a big plus, but not required
