Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead Nyx Thermal Vacuum and Thermal Balance campaigns by defining test objectives, verification logic, success criteria, and operational concepts
  • •Prepare test plans/procedures and lead test readiness reviews, test review board, and NCR board during spacecraft/subsystem/component thermal testing
  • •Own thermal test verification strategy by ensuring requirements are verified through test/inspection/demonstration and driving verification closure toward qualification and flight readiness
  • •Support flight model integration and AIT by defining thermal instrumentation strategies, supporting installation/verification/troubleshooting, and participating in integrated functional testing
  • •Exploit thermal test data by analyzing results, assessing performance, identifying improvements and recommendations, and capturing lessons learned

Key Requirements

  • •MSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Thermodynamics, or equivalent
  • •10+ years’ experience in spacecraft thermal engineering
  • •Proven experience leading Thermal Vacuum and Thermal Balance campaigns
  • •Experience with spacecraft qualification and acceptance programs, plus assembly/integration/test support
  • •Strong understanding of thermal control systems and experience with thermal instrumentation, DAQ systems, and test-data processing tools (preferably Python or MATLAB)
