Job Summary

Support residential solar and battery installations by performing site assessments before installation and post-install inspections to confirm readiness for AHJ and utility approvals. Follow intraday schedules across multiple job sites, collect measurements and structural/electrical data, review roof and electrical panel conditions, and document findings using mobile field tools. Coordinate with install teams and project managers to resolve inspection issues while prioritizing safety, customer-facing professionalism, and accurate data submission.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Visit customer homes to collect measurements, photographs, and structural/electrical data required for solar design.
•Assess roof conditions, electrical service panels, and property features using standardized tools and protocols.
•Conduct attic and rooftop inspections, then perform post-install inspection visits to ensure readiness for final AHJ inspection or utility approval.
•Confirm installed systems match approved plans and meet workmanship, code, and safety standards; provide documentation (photos, checklists, notes).
•Collaborate with install teams and project managers, discuss installations with AHJ and customers, and schedule inspections as needed while following intraday schedules.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required.
•Valid state-recognized Electrical Certification at the Journeyman, Wireman, or higher level, in good standing.
•Previous PV design, PV installation, or PV electrical experience (e.g., reading blueprints/plans, testing wiring/circuitry) and at least one year of field construction experience preferred.
•Comfortable working on roofs with ladders and in tight or elevated spaces, including attics and confined spaces.
•Familiar with basic hand tools, measuring devices, and mobile technology; must be at least 21 and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
