Key Responsibilities

•Operate the roller (and related equipment such as paver/screed, blade, loader, backhoe) used in asphalt paving.
•Plan the job by walking/marking with supervisors, measuring passes, and determining truckload yield.
•Control material distribution through the machine and monitor mat, edges, and joints for job quality.
•Load/unload equipment and secure it on trailers.
•Assist labor crew and workforce as needed, communicate material flaws to supervisors, and take action to avoid hazards or obstructions.

Key Requirements

•Must be a current member or able to join Operators#701.
•Must possess a valid driver’s license.
•At least 1-2 years of experience in construction, specifically in paving equipment/operations or related education/experience.
•Must have knowledge of proper equipment operation, grade, and work operations.
•Must pass a pre-employment physical exam and controlled substance testing and be able to work overtime/weekends/holidays/nights as needed.
