Job Summary

Architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy embedded real-time software for firmware and hardware in heterogeneous systems used for next-generation autonomous avionics. Work in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to define and improve product implementation, testability, and measurable quality using Lean and/or Agile practices. Mentor and coach less experienced staff, contribute to design reviews and proposals, and help deliver mission assurance and safety-critical functionality.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect, design, implement, test, and debug integrated embedded real-time software within heterogeneous firmware and hardware systems.
•Work within a cross-discipline team to define and improve product concept, implementation, testability, and measurable quality.
•Teaching, coaching, and mentoring less experienced staff.
•Contribute to proposals and preliminary and critical design reviews.
•Maintain ability to obtain program access.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
•Experience including at least two of: Embedded C++ Software, Embedded Software Security, Software Architecture Design and Implementation.
•Experience using embedded real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, or Linux.
•Experience developing complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software.
•Active and transferrable final Secret U.S. government security clearance required prior to start, with ability to obtain program access after start.
