Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, using test instruments and road testing to confirm issues.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, conducting safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT and other documentation accurately and timely, including recording work and uploading photos via the company’s repair order process.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or 5 years with a related field alternative combination).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for the role.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a DOT medical card with more than four months remaining).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
