Job Summary

Provide safe, effective nursing care to a defined group of patients and families, assessing needs, planning and delivering care using the nursing process, and documenting outcomes in the electronic medical record. Ensure quality and compliance with QCHP nursing/midwifery frameworks, Joint Commission International requirements, and hospital/department standards. Support patient safety, administer therapies and medications, and coordinate referrals, reporting, and emergency procedures as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Assess patient signs, symptoms, reactions, behaviors, and general appearance to determine normal versus abnormal characteristics.
•Plan and implement patient care based on assessment, including reporting, referrals, and emergency procedures when indicated.
•Provide direct and indirect care, including administration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary for treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plans.
•Provide care to diverse patient populations, adjusting plans to cultural, spiritual, age, psychosocial, communication, gender, and other needs.
•Document direct and indirect patient care in the electronic medical record to ensure safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients in a timely manner.

Key Requirements

•Provides nursing care to patients and families in an effective and safe manner, carrying out established nursing regimes under a preceptor or designated RN.
•Applies clinical/technical skills consistent with the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) Nursing/Midwifery Competency Framework and Scope of Practice.
•Delivers safe patient care using the nursing process, including medication administration and implementation of treatment and rehabilitative plans.
•Performs patient assessment and procedures including skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiation of peripheral venous access.
•ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills to be successful in the role.
