Key Responsibilities

  • •Own software reliability as a product across the full stack for the robot fleet.
  • •Build and own parts of an integrated end-to-end testing package from developer tests to real robot movement.
  • •Deliver an integrated testing package spanning web/cloud, mobile, on-robot services, and embedded, while pushing reliability standards deeper over time.
  • •Triaged reliability issues by identifying edge cases and routing them to the right software or hardware teams.
  • •Establish and set the pace for software reliability best practices across the org and for external customers.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong software engineering background with real depth in at least one stack layer (cloud/backend, systems, or embedded) and breadth to reason across the rest.
  • •Experience building test and reliability infrastructure or distributed systems at scale (APIs, real-time data pipelines, monitoring, incident management).
  • •Strong DevOps and Linux skills, including CI/CD and infrastructure as code, plus fluency in Python and at least one systems language.
  • •Strong statistical and probabilistic skills, with an allergy to the sunk cost fallacy.
  • •Experience taking products from zero to one and then from one to production.
