Key Responsibilities

•Own software reliability as a product across the full stack for the robot fleet.
•Build and own parts of an integrated end-to-end testing package from developer tests to real robot movement.
•Deliver an integrated testing package spanning web/cloud, mobile, on-robot services, and embedded, while pushing reliability standards deeper over time.
•Triaged reliability issues by identifying edge cases and routing them to the right software or hardware teams.
•Establish and set the pace for software reliability best practices across the org and for external customers.

Key Requirements

•Strong software engineering background with real depth in at least one stack layer (cloud/backend, systems, or embedded) and breadth to reason across the rest.
•Experience building test and reliability infrastructure or distributed systems at scale (APIs, real-time data pipelines, monitoring, incident management).
•Strong DevOps and Linux skills, including CI/CD and infrastructure as code, plus fluency in Python and at least one systems language.
•Strong statistical and probabilistic skills, with an allergy to the sunk cost fallacy.
•Experience taking products from zero to one and then from one to production.
