Key Responsibilities

  • •Own LATAM tax strategy and governance, including annual/multi-year tax planning, technical tax positions, and regional tax risk identification, mitigation, and escalation.
  • •Oversee LATAM direct and indirect tax compliance and lead tax provision and reporting for LATAM entities under US GAAP and IFRS, including uncertain tax positions and effective tax rate drivers.
  • •Lead LATAM implementation of Pillar Two and Country-by-Country Reporting, including data readiness, modeling outcomes, and filing strategy.
  • •Direct transfer pricing positions and documentation (local files and intercompany agreements), and assess impacts of changes to the intercompany operating model.
  • •Lead LATAM tax audits and controversy end to end, and manage advisors/external auditors while driving root-cause analysis and corrective control changes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field; CPA/Contador Público or tax law qualification, or a Master’s in Taxation strongly preferred.
  • •Minimum 12 years of progressive international tax experience with substantial LATAM multi-jurisdiction responsibility in a multinational tax function, Big 4, or comparable environment.
  • •Demonstrated ownership of a regional or multi-country tax function with accountability for technical positions, risk, and audit outcomes.
  • •Deep technical command of LATAM direct/indirect tax regimes, transfer pricing, tax treaties, permanent establishment risk, and cross-border structuring.
  • •Strong US GAAP and IFRS tax accounting and provision expertise (ASC 740 / IAS 12).
