Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver MYP/DP Psychology lessons within the IB framework and contribute to the department’s data-driven approach to teaching.
  • •Collaborate with Psychology department colleagues to support student outcomes and foster a love of learning in an international IB setting.
  • •Monitor and assess student progress using IB assessment criteria and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
  • •Incorporate best practices from the IB Approaches to Teaching to support diverse learners and intercultural understanding.
  • •Ensure safeguarding and welfare of students in line with school policy and DBS requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in Psychology
  • •Minimum of 3 years experience teaching Secondary/High School Psychology, ideally within an IB curriculum
  • •Strong understanding of the IBDP framework and Approaches to Teaching; IB experience preferred but not mandatory
  • •Ideal candidate located in the UAE with their own visa
  • •UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check is a pre-requisite for all appointments
