Job Summary

Lead the technical art vision and standards for a project shipped on PC, console, and mobile. Own the Unreal Engine 5 technical art strategy, technical health, and content pipeline from DCC tools through Unreal and deployment workflows. Lead, mentor, and grow the technical art organization while aligning art, design, animation, UI/audio, and production around scalable performance and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead, mentor, and grow the Technical Art organization, including hiring, performance management, career development, and technical leadership.
•Define and enforce technical art standards, workflows, performance budgets, and content requirements across characters, animation, gameplay, VFX, environments, UI, and audio.
•Own the technical art strategy for Unreal Engine 5 across PC, console, and mobile, ensuring scalable content and strong runtime performance.
•Partner with engineering to drive engine extensions, rendering features, content validation systems, automation, build pipelines, profiling tools, and platform optimization initiatives.
•Build and oversee tooling and the content pipeline strategy from DCC through Unreal and deployment workflows, including asset ingestion/validation, CI/CD integration, documentation, and onboarding.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of professional experience in Technical Art, with 2+ years leading teams and driving technical direction across multiple disciplines.
•Experience shipping one or more games as a Technical Artist, ideally across multiple platforms including mobile.
•Deep expertise in Unreal Engine 5, including Blueprints, Animation Blueprints, Control Rig, Niagara, Material Editor, Unreal tooling frameworks, and content pipelines.
•Strong understanding of the technical art stack (character pipelines, rigging/skin, animation systems, VFX integration, shaders/materials, rendering, UI, optimization, and content workflows).
•Strong scripting skills using Python (plus MEL/MaxScript or similar scripting is a plus).
