Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement and enforce the site-specific Safety Plan in accordance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and Army regulations.
  • •Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards related to material handling, equipment movement, and personnel operations during equipment turn-in.
  • •Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials (HAZMAT) in compliance with EPA and Army guidelines.
  • •Lead investigations of accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; report findings and corrective actions and maintain incident logs and OSHA reporting documentation.
  • •Perform safety audits and job hazard analyses (JHAs), track safety KPIs, prepare reports for internal leadership and government oversight, and support government inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or Environmental Science preferred.
  • •3+ years of safety experience on government, military, or industrial logistics sites.
  • •Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, EM 385-1-1, DA PAM 385-10, and Army site safety practices.
  • •Experience supporting military logistics, equipment turn-in, retrograde, or base closure operations preferred.
  • •Excellent communication, documentation, and conflict-resolution skills, including a valid driver’s license and a Real ID.
