Key Responsibilities

  • •Install building automation systems and temperature control components (conduit, enclosures, wiring, and end devices) using control drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • •Prepare for on-site installation by reviewing building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating with other trades.
  • •Maintain assigned inventory, company equipment, and complete job documentation including daily time, progress, duration, and required paperwork/reports.
  • •Serve as the direct customer contact on assigned projects, servicing products/equipment by identifying issues, diagnosing, and repairing systems at customer locations to ensure satisfaction.
  • •Enforce safety standards and maintain security/accountability of company assets, with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or equivalent) and typically 2-5 years of experience in HVAC/controls; technical school/formal training preferred.
  • •Knowledge of low voltage electricity, electronics (board-level troubleshooting), direct digital controls, and building control techniques.
  • •Previous experience with DDC controls systems is preferred.
  • •Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with handheld computers (smartphone/iPad).
  • •Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major/frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit-and-run, reckless/careless driving, or license suspension in the prior 3 years.
