Key Responsibilities

  • •Own JV management and strategy for Chile Copper, coordinating mine planning, optimization, performance analysis, and project evaluation for the Sierra Gorda Joint Venture.
  • •Ensure best-practice implementation for long-term mine planning aligned to strategic direction and optimized outcomes for the business.
  • •Coordinate annual budgets for costs and production, and analyze production costs, sustaining capex, and mine project performance.
  • •Lead preparation and maintenance of LoOP at SG JV, incorporating into the valuation model and providing analytical support on mineral resources and mine optimization.
  • •Deliver JORC-compliant Mineral Resources and Ore Reserve information and drive mine operation improvement initiatives that increase shareholder value.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mining or geology (second degree or postgraduate preferred).
  • •More than 10 years of proven mine planning and/or mine operations experience.
  • •Background in copper mining with planning strategies and Resource/Reserve estimation process experience.
  • •In-depth knowledge of planning software and systems, with demonstrated open pit mine planning and mine optimization experience.
  • •Strong understanding of the JORC Code and the ability to identify, analyze, and apply options within mining constraints.
