Job Summary

Underwrite profitable new and renewal Financial Lines business in Singapore, negotiating participation, pricing and terms with brokers, owning accounts, and building broker/client relationships. Manage capacity, assess catastrophe exposure, and ensure governance/compliance with LoB guidelines. Collaborate with Marketing, Claims, ARC and other functional areas in Allianz’s global matrix to deliver risk-adjusted profitability.

Key Responsibilities

•Underwrite profitable NEW and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom-line targets.
•Negotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions with brokers.
•Proactively manage capacity and ensure alignment with governance and capacity constraints.
•Underwrite and evaluate Natural Catastrophe accumulation, understanding catastrophe modelling and scenario interpretation for relevant LoBs.
•Market Management: support acquisition/retention of business and maintain broker/client relationships.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven underwriting experience in underwriting profitable business for the Line of Business (LoB).
•Good understanding of LoB products and portfolio.
•Preferably degree in Economics, Law, or related discipline; Completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g., CII).
•Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with brokers and clients.
•Ability to work within a global, matrix insurance organization and apply underwriting governance and guidelines.
