Job Summary

Originate residential first mortgage loans for outside referrals, taking applications from intake through closing. Build and maintain referral contacts, stay current on loan products and underwriting guidelines, and manage the end-to-end loan pipeline. Ensure risk is identified and managed in line with bank policies while delivering strong customer service and meeting sales and cross-selling objectives for successful mortgage loan outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain referral contacts (realtors, builders, and professional/personal contacts).
•Complete mortgage applications using Fannie Mae Form 1003 on a laptop.
•Utilize laptop tools for communication, access daily rates, retrieve credit reports, review Loan Prospector responses, and transmit loans to LOMAS.
•Collect required applicant documentation and deliver loan packages within management timeframes.
•Manage the mortgage loan pipeline through closing and complete required management reports while providing timely updates.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; four-year college degree is preferred.
•2+ years of mortgage lending experience.
•Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines and residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
•Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
•Must have an established book of local referral sources and existing mortgage sales of $1 million per month.
