Job Summary

Independently evaluate and monitor credit risk and credit management processes to help minimize losses. Analyze portfolio credit quality and reporting, perform independent reviews of individual credits, and use data analytics for continuous monitoring and periodic risk management evaluation. Challenge weak or ineffective risk practices, document conclusions clearly, summarize themes, and support project management and issue remediation validation across business lines.

Key Responsibilities

•Independently review individual credits or accounts and thoroughly document credit and default process analysis.
•Evaluate the appropriateness of interpretations, assess materiality and qualitative aspects, and ensure conclusions are fair, balanced, and well supported.
•Aggregate and summarize line-sheet observations or themes for assigned business lines.
•Perform continuous monitoring of business lines, industry trends, and key risk indicators or metrics; attend portfolio credit risk meetings as applicable.
•Complete project management activities, participate in special projects with other CRR or IRRA teams, and support issue remediation monitoring and validation testing.

Key Requirements

•Seven years of payments and/or consumer credit experience in credit analyst, underwriter, portfolio manager, relationship manager, credit risk review officer, or credit approval officer roles.
•Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field (or a Bachelor’s degree with relevant credit review experience); Master’s degree and/or a professional designation may be applicable.
•Broad knowledge of payments and/or consumer lending portfolios, including consumer and small business credit cards, merchant processing, and consumer lending.
•Strong credit analysis skills to assess loan structure, borrower financial condition, repayment capacity, collateral, exceptions, and credit/default risk drivers.
•Knowledge of bank loan policies, industry practices, and regulatory guidance, with clear and concise writing and strong time management.
