Job Summary

Own the IT Tooling platform’s automation architecture, shaping integration and design choices across n8n, Airflow, Temporal, and Jira. Establish engineering standards and review practices, lead complex high-impact automation projects end to end, and partner with Security, Corporate Engineering, and IAM to unblock technical challenges. Build reusable frameworks to reduce platform failure points, produce architecture documentation/decision records, and translate ambiguous needs into production-ready technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the technical architecture of IT Tooling automations, driving design decisions on system structure and integration patterns across n8n, Airflow, Temporal, and Jira.
•Establish architecture standards and code review practices to raise the team’s engineering bar.
•Serve as technical DRI on complex, high-impact automation projects from discovery and design through production delivery.
•Partner with Security, Corporate Engineering, and IAM to resolve technical blockers and represent the team in cross-functional architecture discussions.
•Build reusable frameworks and components to reduce single points of failure, and produce architecture documentation and decision records to enable scalable delivery.

Key Requirements

•5+ years in IT engineering, automation, or systems engineering with demonstrated ownership of architecture decisions, engineering standards, or platform-level systems others build on top of.
•Deep expertise building and maintaining complex automations using n8n, Airflow, Temporal, Jira Automation, or Workato, with Git-based development workflows (branching, CI/CD, code review).
•Working knowledge of Okta, Slack API, and Google Workspace administration to design secure, scalable automation architecture.
•Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and translate loosely scoped problems into production-ready technical specifications.
•Use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
