Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide on-site supervision of the MWD process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation, and QC.
  • •Assist in ensuring customer-facing data is accurate, timely, and meets service quality standards.
  • •Test tools and equipment before, during, and after jobs; identify and correct operational problems to minimize service impact.
  • •Support technical consultation covering mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, mud system, and BHA dynamics.
  • •Ensure BHA assembly follows the plan and interface with the Directional Driller to maintain compatible parameters and correct tool-face references, while completing required forms and reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Complete a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three months of field experience in MWD.
  • •Complete the basic M/LWD training program and pass company tests or meet task guideline requirements.
  • •Demonstrate technical aptitude, including communication, arithmetic, data entry, and recording skills.
  • •Read and interpret formation well logs and directional survey information and other well site data.
  • •Hold relevant onshore and offshore safety certificates and be able to perform this as a field position.
