Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and optimize embedded bare-metal firmware that controls the RF front-end of Mach’s RF seeker across the full lifecycle, from board bring-up to deployment.
  • •Write high-performance C/C++ firmware for resource-constrained microcontrollers powering RF front-end boards used in radar products.
  • •Co-design with RF hardware engineers on component selection, board bring-up, and hardware-software trade-offs (power, cost, form factor).
  • •Verify RF/microwave performance by devising and running lab tests, debugging issues, and implementing calibration techniques to optimize RF front-end performance.
  • •Automate factory RF/microwave calibration processes using scripts (Python), while ensuring firmware quality, reliability, and documentation for manufacturing scalability.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years developing embedded firmware for RF/microwave front-ends for radar/RF seekers or wireless radio products.
  • •Proficiency in bare-metal C/C++ for memory-constrained environments, with clean, well-tested, efficient code.
  • •Demonstrated MCU bring-up experience, including clock/PLL configuration and low-level peripheral bring-up (I2C, SPI, CAN, GPIO).
  • •Deep RF/microwave knowledge of transmitter/receiver architectures and components (DDS, PLL, LNA, PA, mixers, filters, down-conversion) and calibration techniques.
  • •Hands-on lab test experience (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, logic/protocol analyzers) plus Python scripting to automate measurement/calibration collection.
